With grey skies and a little bit of wind, over 50 people including adults and children and their dogs walked two miles on September 19th to benefit the women of Hospitality House. The Walk for the Women fundraiser brought in $18,700 with a total of $5700 raised by our top three walkers; Joan Brown, from John Knox Church and dog, Gracie, came in with the most donations. Father Hayatsu from St Francis Parish came second. Eileen Severns of Prince of Peace Church came in third. Thank you to Debra George and all of Discover Burien for allowing us to be a part of the Burien Wellness Fair again this year. Special thanks to all the sponsors, volunteers, walkers, donors and friends of Hospitality House. Only together can we hope to help end homelessness!
