We appreciate the generosity and good will of every donation. Our storage capacity is limited, so we kindly ask that you review the guidelines below before donating to ensure all donations received can have the maximum impact.
Children’s Items
We cannot accept clothing or toys for children, as we only serve women over the age of 18. Please consider donating to:
Bedding
We are unable to accept bedding larger than twin size. Before donating twin size bedding to Hospitality House, please call our office at (206) 242-1860 to check our storage capacity and current need.
Home Goods & Appliances
We are able to accept some home goods & appliances based on our current storage capacity & stock. These items are provided to residents as they move out into their own housing! Before donating home goods or appliances to Hospitality House, please call our office at (206) 242-1860 to check our storage capicity and current need.
General Guidelines
To ensure our residents are receiving items ready to use, please be sure donations meet the following criteria:
- Clothing and shoes are in good condition, clean, and free of holes, stains, and pet hair
- Clothing must be seasonally appropriate
- Underwear must be brand new, we cannot accept used underwear
- Food packaging is unopened and has a visible expiration date
- Cleaners are clearly labeled (we cannot accept cleaning products without labels)
- Home goods and appliances are clean and in working order
We often receive far more clothing than we have the need for. Please know we may only be accepting certain sizes or styles. Please consider donating clothing to other service providers, or learn about how you can recycle well-loved fabrics through Threadcycle by clicking here.
