It was a warm, inspiring and successful night. Our Boats for Beds silent auction was a sell-out. Laura Curry premiered the short film she made about the House, with the voices of residents, volunteers, and community representatives. Richard LeMieux, author of Breakfast at Sally’s, spoke movingly to the guests and Tina Bennett sang “A Place Called Home” , a song she wrote about one of the chapters in the book. We had a surprise guest, Rev Charlie Kothe, who was the minister at Lake Burien Presbyterian, 10 years ago when the House first opened. And at the end of the night, guests and supporters contributed $18,000 to support Hospitality House.

“Boats for Beds” June 26, 2010!
Along with the new decade, comes a new event for Three Tree Point Yacht Club– “Boats for Beds!”
A fun 90 minute race is being planned for the afternoon of June 26th, from 1-4 PM with a social event on the dock after the finish. We are looking for boats- cruisers or racers - and Captains willing to donate a few ‘crew spots’ on their boats. Have a power boat? How about being the committee boat, the photography boat, or just offering spots for spectators? This is a new event for Hospitality HOUSE and in addition to the MidSound Summer Socials.
List of nine boats with details about each boat; number of positions available, type of boat, restrictions if any and what will be provided with you ride. Click on the boat name an large image will appear with specifics and image of the boat. for PDF with all nine boats, click.
